Donna Richardson, 75, of Rockford, IL passed away on March 14, 2025.

Donna was born on May 22, 1949 in Beards Fork, WV the daughter of William and Alice Alameda (Alderman) Henderson.

On June 13, 1970, Donna married William H. Richardson in Harvard, IL. She worked as a waitress and a cook for many years, primarily at Crystal Chandelier and Hamburger Habit in Belvidere, IL. Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was proud of her family. She had a great sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind without sugarcoating. Donna’s expressive face often showed exactly how she was feeling, and her sly smile will be missed.

Donna is survived by her husband William; daughters Pamela Richardson of Belvidere, IL and Robin Richardson of Rockford, IL; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda (Bill) Lambert of Walworth, WI and Dale (Bill) Smith of Rockton, IL; and brothers Richard (Patty) Henderson of Tulsa, OK and David Henderson of Eureka Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Alice Henderson, sister Della Pauley, brother William Henderson Jr., and nephew Samuel Pauley.

Visitation will be Monday, March 24 from 11 AM until the 1 PM funeral service at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. Pastor Charles Waggoner will officiate. Interment to follow immediately at Mount Auburn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in care of the family.
