Dennis Goad

Dennis R. Goad, 64, of Harvard passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL.

He was born February 28, 1956, in Sycamore, IL to Victor and Viola (Hardt) Goad. Dennis was a long-time employee of the Illinois Tollway. After retirement, he worked at Dunham Township for several years. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, but most of all, he loved being a grandpa. He also enjoyed working in his garage, going to auctions, and rooting on the packers. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge, having served as a past Governor. He looked forward to hosting Milk Days each year as the self-proclaimed  “King of Milk Days”. 

Dennis leaves behind his daughters Victoria (Alex) Hansen, and Elizabeth (Gustavo) Flores; two beloved grandchildren Edson and Eisli Flores; siblings Harold (Sharon) Goad, Richard (Cathy) Goad, Robert (Betty) Goad, Dorothy Millner, Loretta (Arnie) Baumann, and Alice Fisher; brother-in-law William Fehrmann Jr.; former wife Penny Goad; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Fehrmann, and brother-in-law Thomas Millner.

The visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 4-7 PM, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033. Funeral services will be Live-Streamed at 1 PM Thur., Jan. 14. Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Harvard, IL.

A celebration of life will be hosted at a later date. 

Due to the pandemic, only 10 people are allowed in the funeral home at one time. Masks and social distancing will be required.
