Darcey A. Blazier, 58, of Harvard, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1964, in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Willard and Patricia (Gorham) Brenner. Darcey married Randall “Randy” Blazier on June 11, 1988, in Harvard, Illinois. She was active in the Harvard Chamber of Commerce as a director and was involved in the sports her children played, not only as an onlooker, but also helping with the books. She never missed a game. She was very proud of their achievements. Darcey enjoyed reading and being around family and friends. Most of all, she absolutely loved seeing her grandchildren.
Darcey is survived by her children, Chase (Samantha) Blazier and Randi (Luke) Watson; her grandchildren Hadley and Haven Watson, and Beckett Blazier; her siblings Mark (Julie) Brenner, Dorothy (David) Bell, Debbie (Tom) Shields, Dawn (Burliss) Parker; her mother-in-law Verda Blazier; her sister-in-law Linda Brenner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Darcey was preceded in death by her husband Randy Blazier, her parents Willard and Patricia Brenner, her brother Bill Brenner, her sister Diane Brenner, and her father-in-law Emmett Blazier.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, Illinois 60033. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 20501 Brink St., Harvard, Illinois 60033. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Darcey’s honor to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nationalmssociety.org.
