Danny Wilton Lester

Danny Wilton Lester, 79, of Hermitage, TN, passed away Jan. 4, 2023, with his loving wife Brenda and loving daughter Lisa by his side.

He was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Harvard, IL, son of Willard and Dorothy (Pennington) Lester.  In 1961, Danny graduated from Harvard High School.  He served in the National Guard.  He was very proud of the sixteen years he distributed mail for the Walmart Corporate Office of Sam Walton.

On Jan. 20, 1968, he married Brenda Nolen, the love of his life, at the First United Methodist Church in Harvard, IL. He retired in Nashville, TN, to be around the country music he loved so much.

He will be missed deeply by his wife Brenda, his children Sheila (Anthony) Lester Chavez and Lisa Lester. Danny had two grandchildren, Sierra Chavez, and Daniel Chavez. He will be missed by his sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Lester) McFarlin, David Lester, his twin brother, Linda “Stacey” (Marty) Lewis, Rick (Jeanine) Lester and Travis Lawrence. Danny is predeceased by his parents, Willard and Dorothy, nephew Seth Clayton Bennett, and brother Larry LeRoy Lester.

A visitation will be at 10 AM followed by an 11 AM service, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
