Daniel Philip Ames

Daniel Philip Ames, 68, of Poplar Grove, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home.

Daniel was born September 7, 1956, to Philip Jr. and Irene Ames in Harvard, Illinois.  He was a carpenter and through his life, he loved to build things, and in retirement, and enjoyed collecting tractors and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Carol, sons Tyson (Meagan) Ames and Kyle (Brianda) Ames, grandchildren Everett, Hudson, and Destry Ames, brothers Jim and Mike Ames, stepmother Sarah Ames, sister-in-law Jill Ames, and many stepsiblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jeff Ames.

There will be a memorial gathering from 3-7PM Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Harvard Moose Lodge, 22500 Rt. 173, Harvard, IL 60033.  Dinner will be served at the Harvard Moose.
