Cindy Ann (Alt) Waldo

Cindy A. Waldo, 64, of Harvard passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Mercy Health Hospital- Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL.

She was born September 9, 1954, in Harvard, IL to Francis and Marjorie (Bauman) Alt. She married Arnold Waldo on February 15, 1975.

Cindy and Arnold owned and operated the Hub in Harvard for many years until retirement. Cindy was a kindhearted person, she always put the needs of others before her own. Cindy enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends at the Senior Center. She was a second mother to many and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her beloved husband Arnold; children Deb Waldo, Ed Waldo, Sara Vance and Beth (Will) Skees; grandson Lucas; niece Sue (Bill) Zillmer and nephews Scott, and Sam Wynstra; many great nieces and nephews; and one brother Rick Alt.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister and brother-in-law Sandra (Sam) Wynstra.

Memorial visitation will be held from 9- 12 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018, with words of remembrance to follow at noon at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033. Inurnment will be private. There will be a luncheon at Angelo’s Pizza following at 1 p.m.
