Born on May 31, 1962, to Terry Powers and Anne Roelle, Christine grew up in a close-knit family, fostering the values of strength, independence, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She was a cherished sister to Shelley Stricker, Jenny Riley, Mike Vest, and Michelle Noe.
Christine's most cherished roles were those of a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her children, Zachery Schneider (39), Anthony Leonard (28), and Anna Leonard (27), as well as her adoring grandchildren, Aaralynn Schneider (18), Avery Schneider (3), and Axen Schneider (1). She poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them through life's journey, instilling in them the same spirit of enthusiasm for life that she possessed.
Christine was a woman of unwavering independence, a spirit that shone brightly throughout her life. She found immense joy in life's little treasures, whether it was tending to her beloved flowers, spending cherished moments in a garage with her favorite people, or dancing the night away to the rhythm of live bands. Her infectious laughter and warm smiles were a testament to her vibrant spirit, brightening the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Christine's life will take place on September 22, 2023, at Rush Creek Distillery in Harvard, Illinois, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please join us in remembering this remarkable woman and sharing stories of her beautiful journey through life.
