Charles W. Johnson, 54 of Harvard passed away suddenly Monday, January 3, 2022 at home. We are all devastated by this unexpected news.
He was born June 28, 1967, in Rockford, IL to Donald Dean and Claudia Jean (Long) Johnson.
Charles married Mandy Hamblin on March 16, 2004, in Woodstock, IL. He served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm.
Survivors include his wife Mandy Johnson, his son Mackenzie “Mikey” Johnson of Interlachen FL, ex-wife Tabitha Johnson, 3 sisters Lori Hunt of Wisconsin, Tia (Kurt) Langan of Phoenix AZ, Rebecca Johnson of Harvard, IL, 3 Grandchildren Zander 5, Wesley 3, Juliet 1, and baby Evengeline, due in a few months & coming soon. He also had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved so very much and lastly his 8- year old godson Landen, whom he would talk about all the time they cherished one another so much.
He was Preceded in death by his parents.
Charles enjoyed watching football the Dallas Cowboys (mostly for the Cheerleaders), Baseball, Chicago Cubs (Go Cubs Go) win or lose he was proud being a fan of theirs. Before all of his health issues, he would watch wrestling and was an avid bowler on two leagues. Charles was loved and liked by many, many people. He was always in very high spirits regardless of what was happening.
A Memorial and Service will be held at a later date.
