Charlene Cates Mulvenna Schulz, 93, of Harvard, Illinois died on September 1, 2021.
She was born on April 25, 1928, in Hebron, IL to Charles and Adeline (Mason) Cates.
Charlene was a hard worker who loved spending time with her family and cooking, and made the best apple pies. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harvard, IL.
Charlene and Robert were the proud parents of six children. Robert passed away in 1976 and in 1979 Charlene married Robert Schultz who passed away in 1997. The surviving family includes daughters Ruth Ann (Frank) Godo, Mary Jo (Jerry) Rousey, and Peggy Louise (Ron) Ellison; son John Robert (Pam) Mulvenna; grandchildren Mike and Andy Rousey, Jim and Mindy Godo, Shanon (Larry) Hashman and Shane Ellison, Matthew and Robert Mulvenna; nine beloved great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and sister-in-laws JoAnn Cates and Ila Cates.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Mulvenna, husband Robert Schulz, sons James and Jerry Mulvenna, siblings John Cates, Helen (Harold) Weeks, Ralph Cates, and Betty (Roger) Oberst.
The family is having a private burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
