Carol Ann Patton

Carol Ann Patton, 77, of Harvard, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2024 while on Journey Care in Woodstock, IL.

She was born October 14, 1946, in Harvard to Dorothy and Elwood Goodsell.

Carol grew up in Yorkville, Illinois until she moved to Mundelein with her father and attended Mundelein High where she graduated in 1960, and later moved back to Harvard.

She worked at the Harvard Hospital for several years and made many lifetime friends.  She married Ed Patton and resided in Harvard until his death in 2005.

Carol retired in 2008 and resided with her brother Michael.  Together they enjoyed gardening, flowers, and especially her pets (Taffy, Cally, and Buster).  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and laughing and joking.  She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sister Judy (Stan) Hage of Harvard.

Carol was preceded in death by her infant son, mother and father, and siblings JoAnn, Michael, and Charles, several aunts and uncles, and her grandparents.

The memorial gathering will be 10 – 11 AM Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL.  The memorial service will be at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Scharrer officiating.  The inurnment will be private.
