Beverly J. Sphar

Beverly J Sphar, age 92, of Harvard, IL passed away April 13, 2025 at home.

Beverly was born March 20, 1933, at the home of her parents, Floyd and Alma Mason in Alden, IL. She married Dwight Sphar on March 20th, 1954 in Harvard, IL. 

Beverly worked at The Admiral, where she met Dwight. It was not long after that, they married and started a family. They settled down on the family farm of 160 acres where they raised their 4 children. 

Beverly attended the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church of God in Harvard, and formerly the Assembly of God church. She enjoyed music, especially Polka music, and spending time with her family. She loved her family with all her heart and proved it by her selflessness throughout her life.

Beverly is survived by her children, Ernest Sphar, Karen (Ed) Breitenfield, Debbie Sphar; grandchildren Jessica (Curtis) Simplot, Susan (Erick) Garduño, Jennifer Breitenfield-Anderson, Keith (Nicole) Sphar, Jaclyn (Kevin) Huber; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.  

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Mason, husband Dwight and son Leo.

The visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday, April 18, 2025, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. The funeral service will be at 11 AM Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Bob Brown. Burial will be at Alden Cemetery.
