Betty Jeanne Davidson

Betty Jeanne Darlene Davidson, 96, of Footville, WI and formerly Capron, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Betty was born on September 28, 1927, in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Albert and Emma (Menge) Rubeck. On February 16, 1946, she married Thomas Charles Davidson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harvard, IL. Throughout the years, Betty held various retail positions but her most cherished roles were wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Harvard. Betty will be fondly remembered by family and friends.

Survivors include her children Nancy Groell of Footville, WI and Randall (Roberta) Davidson of Spring Hill, TN; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Tom, son Kenneth A. Davidson, and son-in-law Tony Groell.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the 12 PM funeral service on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church of Harvard, 7100 Harvard Hills Road, Harvard, IL 60033, with Pastor Claire Brennecka officiating. Interment to follow at Dunham-Chemung Cemetery in Chemung, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Betty’s honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Harvard or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
