Bessie I (Maynard) Litsey

Bessie I. Litsey, 98, of Harvard, died Tue., April 28 at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.

Bessie was born march 27, 1922 to William A. and Laura E. (Woods) Maynard in Shawneetown, IL.  She married Lawrence C. Litsey on April 29, 1941, in Waynesville, MO.  Lawrence died on Feb. 12, 1986.  She had worked at Admiral Corp. in Harvard and Seeley’s Pharmacy in Harvard and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harvard.

Bessie is survived by her daughter Agaytha (Lester) Howell of Bay City, MI and a sister Beulah Jones of Ridgway, IL, 2 Granddaughters, Kristen (Matt) Heiman, Sherri Howell, 1 Great Granddaughter, Andreana Heiman, 3 Grandsons, Dan Jr. (Tammy) Litsey, Wes Litsey, and Bill Howell, Great Grandson, Vincent Litsey; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, son Daniel, and 4 sisters and 4 brothers, 1 Granddaughter, Lori Marie Litsey.

Services will be private due to Covid19.  There is a private family visitation in the Chapel at Mt. Auburn, Friday, May 1, 2020 with graveside service to follow.   Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Harvard.
