Barbara Kay Brehm

Barbara Kay Brehm was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, soul sister, and friend.  She left this world suddenly on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Barb is survived by her loving “definitely interesting” husband, Gerald Gordon.  She was a proud mother of Richard Brehm, Eric (Jamie) Brehm, and Carly (Jimmy) Brehm, and caring step-mother to Amanda Gordon and Melissa Bittner.  She was an amazing grandmother to Ellie, Samuel, and Benjamin Brehm as well as June, Olivia and Nicholas Pappas.  She was born to Richard and Joan Emmer on September 14, 1956.  Sister to Bonnie Janeway, John Emmer, and Kelly Emmer-Davis.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Barb.  She embodied everything artistic, creative and spiritual.  Her plate always full of love and dedication to others, she belonged to endless groups and organizations.  She was skilled in Reiki, tarot card reading, and many arts and crafts.

A funeral visitation is scheduled for 9 am on Sat. April 23, 2022 with a service to follow at 10 am at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, Illinois 60033.
