Barbara Jean Boettcher

Barbara Jean Boettcher, 86, of Harvard, IL, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home.

Barbara was born June 13, 1938, to Claude and Mable (Wagner) Millner in Harvard.  She married Raymond Lee Boettcher on August 23, 1958, in Harvard, IL.  Raymond passed away on February 20, 2001.  She was a laundry technician and was an expert dry cleaner.

She enjoyed watching her favorite talk shows (especially Live With Kelly and Mark), her favorite game shows (especially Wheel of Fortune), and watching and cheering for the Chicago Bears.  When she was able, she enjoyed playing slot machines on a few trips to Las Vegas.  She enjoyed the few trips to Hawaii that she was able to go on and getting to meet Don Ho.  She loved spoiling her dogs and her granddogs.  

Barbara is survived by her daughter Melody (Steve) Emricson of Woodstock, Tina (Bill) Veit of Rockford, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, siblings Letha Roesslein of Hebron, Duane (Linda) Millner of Capron, James (Kris) Millner of Blue River, WI, sisters-in-law Dorothy Millner of Richland Center, WI and Dolores Lilek of Walworth, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, parents Claude and Mable Millner, father-in-law and mother-in-law Raymond and Eva Boettcher, brothers Thomas Millner and Richard Millner, granddaughter Rachel Ernst, sister-in-law Terri Millner, and brothers-in-law Alfred Roesslein and Richard Lilek.

There will be a visitation from 10AM until the 12 Noon funeral service on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, 7100 Harvard Hills Road, Harvard, IL 60033.  Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Harvard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Harvard.
