Ann Marie "Bubbles" Sexton, age 78, of Capron, IL and formerly of Harvard, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Floyd D. and Hazel (Ainsworth) Blazier Sr., Ann was born on March 28, 1947, in Harvard, one of fifteen children. Ann was united in marriage with the late Charles R. Sexton on June 17, 1967, and the couple raised three children together in Capron.
Family was the center of Ann’s life. She was a world-class mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She found her greatest joy in caring for and spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her love unconditional.
Ann was a hard worker and a natural caregiver whose kindness touched everyone who crossed her path. Whether she was lending a helping hand, offering words of comfort, or quietly making life a little easier for someone else, Ann gave of herself freely and without hesitation. Everyone who met Ann loved her, and she effortlessly brought laughter and smiles to those around her.
Ann worked for many years at the Harvard Hospital and previously worked as a personal assistant to her dear friend who owned and operated Land of Oz horse farm, specializing in miniature ponies. In her free time, Ann enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like spending time with loved ones, scratching lottery tickets, listening to Elvis, and going out to eat.
Ann is survived by her devoted family including daughters, Jody (Norman) Andrews of Harvard and Anita Sexton of Capron; grandchildren, Shawn (Megan) Andrews, Amanda (Robert) Fisher, and Alexandra Sexton (Austin Meneces); great-grandchildren, Penelope Fisher, Malaney Fisher, and Porter Andrews; siblings, Karen Light of Missouri, Steven Blazier of Oklahoma, Becky Gesky of Harvard, Ken (Teresa) Blazier of Indiana, Donnie (Shirley) Blazier of Harvard, and Donna (Matt) Springer of Capron; as well as beloved her niece and nephews.
In death, she is reunited with her husband, Charles R. Sexton; son, Chuck J. Sexton; parents, Floyd and Hazel Blazier; and several brothers and sisters.
Ann’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses of Mercy Hospice who provided such compassionate care to Ann in her final weeks.
