William L. Schuld - Harvard August 29, 1930 - November 3,2017 Age 87
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family. Born in Harvard Illinois, the son of William A and Lena (Voller) Schuld. Raised on various farms in the area before settling in rural Sharon WI.
Farming was always a part of him, in high school he enjoyed participating in many sports, tinkering with automobiles and his job as a pin setter at the Sharon Bowling Alley. Upon graduation he entered the US Air Force, being stationed in Texas and Florida. He finished his term in the service and attended Technical School in Milwaukee for mechanics. Finding mechanics not his passion, he found passion as a truck driver, driving for Admiral, Cotter & Co (True Value) and ADS. He was a 65 year member of the Sharon American Legion Post 130. He met a sweet City girl by the name of Kate and her son Michael, while working at Admiral. He married her and made Michael his own. They went on to add a son William followed by twins James and Anne. He loved playing sports, cards, crosswords, sudoku, and jigsaw puzzles. He loved attending horse and dog races with his friends and family. He took great pride in watching his kids and grandkids play in sporting events and loved the Chicago Bears. He loved cracking jokes had an incredible work ethic, helping others, even after a 10 year battle with cancer never quit mowing the lawn and working on his farm, let's not forget his love for a good pipe smoke. Loved his family always saying “I have good kids and good grandkids." He was a fighter to the end, not only teaching us how to live but also how to die. He will be much missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Catherine (Kate) Crofton, Son Michael and infant son Patrick. His parents, a sister Wilma and her husband Hank Lader, also brother and sister in-laws Richard and Francis Crofton and Lee Patterson.

His brothers Willard (Ginny) Schuld of Hixton WI and Ted (Bonnie) Schuld of Neilsville, WI., brother in-laws James Crofton of Grayslake IL and John (Margaret) Crofton of Chicago.
