Ronald James Garafol

Ronald James Garafol, 70, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in the Journey Care hospice facility in Woodstock, IL.

He was born January 7, 1948, in Woodstock, the son of Jacob James Garafol and Lorraine Garafol.  He attended Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL during the 1960's.  In March 1967 he married Peggy Smith, with whom he had 2 children, DeAnn and Bryan. He worked as a welder for over 25 years at Grieve Corporation in Round Lake, IL before retiring in 2014.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent a majority of his free time enjoying the outdoors.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by one daughter DeAnn (Gary) Finke, and one son Bryan (Jennifer) Garafol of Harvard, one brother Dennis (Nancy) Garafol, of Kenosha, WI, 3 grandchildren Brittany (Carlos) Huicocheo, Tyler Garafol, Logan Garafol, of Harvard, and one great-grandchild Berklynn

The family will have a private memorial service.
