Philip Raymond Koltz, 75, of Harvard died on Friday, June 28, 2019, with his family by his side at Javon Bae Hospital, Rockford, IL.
He was born January 11, 1944, in Harvard to Raymond E. and Anna (Manos) Koltz. Philip worked as an IRS Examiner in Atlanta, GA, until his retirement. Philip enjoyed cooking, especially Greek food, traveling worldwide, and becoming an expert at the New York Times crossword puzzles.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving partner of 41 years, Ronald Lehman of Harvard, siblings Carol Koltz of Harvard, John Koltz of McHenry, and Robert (Hope) Koltz of San Antonio, TX. Sisters-in-law, Gayle Koltz of Omaha, NE., Bev Andrew of Woodstock, and Jan Taylor of Two Harbors, MN. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; as well as many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Paul Koltz.

Per Philip’s wishes, he will be cremated with no services. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Harvard, IL.
