Marie Kath Obituary
HARVARD – Marie A. Kath, 102, of Harvard, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.
She was born March 16, 1905, in Spring Valley, to John B. and Margaret (Enrietto) Carbonetti. On May 22, 1936, she married Irwin H. Kath in Woodstock. He preceded her in death June 2, 1989.
She worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was a 70-year member of First United Methodist Church in Harvard. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women, Philathea Club, Sing-Along Group and the Harvard Women of the Moose.
Survivors include a sister, Rose Zimmerman of Walworth, Wis.; a brother, Joe Carbonetti of Walworth; six nieces and nephews, James (Jo) Carbonetti, who Marie raised, Pat (Steve) Bell, Ginger (Mike) Hicks, Lana (Dave) Spinner, Steve (Nan) Carbonetti and Ken (Steph) Carbonetti; a special grandniece, Dr. Angela (Richard) Frank; a special grandnephew, John Carbonetti; and two sisters-in-law, Jeannette and Dolly Carbonetti, both of Harvard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Frank and Orville Carbonetti; and five sisters, Celia Selinger, Theresa Baird, Lu Carbonetti, Toni Peters and Ann Stevenson.
A memorial service will be 11am Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 N. Division St., Harvard, IL 60033.
