Margery Ann (Welch) Montgomery

Margery Ann Montgomery, 86, of Crystal Lake, died Wed., Sept. 5 at Fair Oaks Health Care Center in Crystal Lake.

She was born June 5, 1932, to Lyle and Lucy (Johnston) Welch in Walworth County, WI. Margery married Dale Montgomery on July 17, 1952, in Belvidere. She worked for over 25 years at Eaton Industries and had also worked for Admiral Corp. and Borgs.

Margery enjoyed going to her class reunions, having lunches with her friends from Eaton Industries, and loved John Wayne movies and baking for her family, with banana bread being her favorite to bake.

Survivors include her husband Dale Montgomery Sr., children: Judith Woods, Deborah Ebel, Dale Montgomery Jr., Cheryl (Michael) Kendrick, Susan (Mark) Francis, and Joseph Montgomery, 10 grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Melissa, Bryan, Bradley, Dale Jay, Timothy, Kyle, Amber, and Tanya, 11 great-grandchildren, many In-Laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Barbara in 1988, grandson Steven, 4 siblings: Herbert, Audrey, James, and Maureen, and son-in-law: Richard Woods.

The visitation will be from 4-7 PM Fri., Sept. 7 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL, 60033. The funeral will be at 11 AM Sat., Sept. 8 at McHenry County Memorial Park, 11301 Lake Ave., Woodstock, IL 60098. Rev. Eric Blachford will officiate. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park.
