Lloyd Smith Obituary
Lloyd Smith, 57, of Harvard passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, IL.
He was born on April 8, 1960, in Harvard, IL the son of Lloyd and Diane (Wilkinson) Smith. He graduated from Harvard High School in 78. He received an Associate’s Degree from McHenry Co. College and later transferred to NIU.
Lloyd worked at TruServ for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, and loved collecting coins. Lloyd was a master at the game of Chess; before there was online gaming, he and his friends would mail postcard chess board games back and forth. He also had a passion for coaching his daughters in soccer and softball.
Survivors include his three daughters Amanda Griffin, Ashley, and Alyssa Smith; two grandchildren Aaliyah and Jazmin (Griffin); father Lloyd Smith; and one sister Brenda (Hal) Williams.
He was preceded in death by his mother Diane.
