Esther Eames Obituary
HARVARD – Esther Marie Eames, 92, a lifelong resident of Harvard,
died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock.
She was born Sept. 13, 1912, in Chemung Township, to Nels and Elina
(Johanson) Blank.
She married Joseph Donald Eames on July 10, 1934, in Woodstock.
She worked for Woodstock Die Cast during World War II and then for
Admiral Corp. until she retired in 1977. She enjoyed a good cup of
coffee with friends, along with playing Yahtzee with her grandchildren,
bingo and cards. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Francis (Judy) Eames of Harvard; four
grandchildren, Gene (Mariella) Eames of Atlanta, Cindy Corbosiero of
New Jersey, Scott Ellwanger and Kelly Norvig; nine great-grandchildren;
a brother, Francis Blank of Harvard; a sister, Inez Knaack of Harvard;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Jan. 1,
1959; a son, Robert Eames; a daughter, Janice Ellwanger; and three
brothers, Carl, Earl and Louis.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral Tuesday, March
8, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard.
The Rev. Sharon L. Bullmer will officiate.
Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
