Donald Jones

Donald Jones, 67, of Sharon, WI; formerly of Harvard, IL; passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Mercy Health Hospital-Rockton, Rockford, IL.

He was born May 3, 1951, to Perry W. and Irene R. (Beavis) Jones Sr., in Harvard, IL.

Donald was currently employed at TruValue, prior to, Don and his brother Ed co-owned and operated D&E Meat Mart. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Donald married Christina Borgeson on July 25, 1970, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Harvard, IL.

Survivors include his wife Tina; children Andrew (Trisha) Jones, Christopher (Shelia) Jones; six grandchildren Valerie, Cody, Ethan, Micaela, Daniel, and Madalyn; three great-grandchildren Bailey, Brady, and Abigail; siblings Perry (Cindy) Jones Jr., Elwyn (Nancy) Jones, and Edward (Pam) Jones; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Beatrice; and daughter-in-law Tracy Jones; and a special cousin Lance.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins St. Harvard, IL; with Pastor Elizabeth Martin officiating.
