Dolores B (Lenss) Mikrut

Dolores B. Mikrut, 80, of Harvard formerly of Capron, IL passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Harvard Care Center.

She was born June 9, 1938, in Harvard, IL; the daughter of the late Vincent and Cleo (Layman) Lenss. When Dolores was a youngster, she enjoyed watching movies at the Saunders and Roxy Theaters in Harvard. She worked as the head cook at the Capron Grade School for 20 years. Dolores loved to read, quilt, and she enjoyed watching all Chicago sports teams. Dolores touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

Dolores married Walter Mikrut on August 1, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Harvard, IL.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Walter; children Dan (Anne) Mikrut; Lisa (David) Burdick and Linda (Robert) Heath; five grandchildren Taylor Heath, Calvin Burdick, Natalie Burdick and twins Caroline and Henry Mikrut; siblings Gerald (Shirley) Lenss, Virginia Magnuson, and Jean Lenss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant daughter Theresa Mikrut.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St. Harvard, IL 60033. Interment will be in St. Catherine Cemetery, Sharon, WI.
