Bonnie Synove Obituary
Bonnie Mae Synove, 87, of Harvard passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Maple Crest Care Center in Belvidere, IL.
She was born in Harvard, IL on August 15, 1930 to Herman and Luella (Layman) Krueger. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1949.
She met her future husband Leon Synove while working at Baird’s Restaurant. Leon and Bonnie were married October 18, 1952. Together they raised six children. Bonnie was always involved with her church and was well known for her cooking skills especially making pies.
Survivors include her children Paul, Jody, and Mark (Peggy) Synove, Deb (Rick) St. Clair and Ann (Duane) Perry; daughter-in-law Cindy Synove; grandchildren Heather (Mike) Mobley, Heath Ahrens, Cory (Brenna) Picotte, Melody Perry, Rayna Synove, and Ian (Heather) Drafz; great grandchildren Jenna and Evan Mobley, Avery and Emmett Drafz, Maylee, Jaclyn and Mira Picotte; brother Keith (Jeanette) Krueger; brother-in-law Jim (Leda) Synove; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Wes; brothers Lyle, Bill, Donald and sisters Irene and Cleo.
A memorial gathering will take place from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 N. Division St., Harvard, IL 60033. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Blachford officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Jerome Cemetery.
